Mpunga Chipepo Simukwai? 

 

Mpunga Chipepo- Simukwai, is a public relations and communications strategist with over 15 years’ experience in Media, Communications and Public Relations. She has worked across all sectors of the media and currently in the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector with over 9 years work experience at management level.

Mpunga has extensive experience in media management, public relations, communications, marketing, project management, communication research and communication for development.

Mpunga is currently working as Public Relations and Communications Manager/ Spokesperson for the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO). Before joining NWASCO, she worked as Public Relations Officer at the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) and earlier as Radio Manager at the Zambia Institute of Mass Communication Educational Trust (ZAMCOM).

Away from her Public Relations work, Mpunga worked as a producer and host of a television talk show on the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation TV 3, called My Story which profiled Christian personalities from 2016 until 2021.

She is a double holder of a Master of Arts in Communication for Development (University of Zambia) and a Master of Business Administration from the Lancaster University in England, United Kingdom. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science (University of South Africa) and a Diploma in Journalism (Evelyn Hone College).

Mpunga is a recipient of the prestigious Lancaster University Management School 30th Anniversary Scholarship for 2019/2020.
In March, 2022 she became Founder and Editor in Chief of the Awanachi Magazine which aims to celebrate the unsung heroines.
She now produces and hosts her own show called Awanachi Conversations on her Facebook page and YouTube.
She is an accredited member of the Zambia Public Relations Association (ZAPRA).
Mpunga is a wife and mother of three children.
